Wow! What a week.
Karen and I had the great pleasure to go to Puerto Rico for an entire week to meet with and train our agents down on the island. It was Moody Groups first trip there since Hurricane Maria and it could not have come at a better time. The vibe we got and from what the agents told us, they are getting back onto their feet. Being from Galveston, I understand that feeling. It’s strange. Your whole world gets turned upside down and you have to rebuild your life and THEN you have to go out and start working again. However, the Puerto Rican spirit cannot be broken. I was personally amazed at how positive and happy everyone was. “No worries” sums it up perfectly.
We spent the majority of our time in San Juan but did get the opportunity to take a day with our favorite agents in Ponce. We spent the day discussing the new National Western Life Product, the Revolution, and about their single premium life; The Lifetime Returns Select. It was a great experience for me because we had a group of 10-12 agents that really cared about knowing the products and understanding how they can be leveraged with their current clients and clients of the future.
Moody Insurance Group has had a presence in Puerto Rico for almost 20 years and I felt honored to go down and be a part. I’ve been lucky enough to learn and spread awareness about the American National line of products while Karen has developed her own expertise with National Western. We make a formidable team and can pretty much cover any question/topic that agents had. Very rarely were we “stumped.” It is no surprise that the most popular product on our trip was the Signature Guaranteed Universal Life (SGUL) with American National. The strong guarantees and the return of premium speak for themselves. It is just up to us to spread the word! The Living Benefits also make American National stand-out. With everyone trying to figure out how to pay for the medical cost, the Living Benefits give another potential way to help pay those expenses while also addressing the concern of “I won’t see any of this money till I’m dead”
