Overview
The Answer Plan is an accident/injury plan whose design is to help with the cost of an Accident or an Injury. An Outpatient Rider can be added to the base plan to cover anything treated outside of the hospital.
Base Plan Benefits
• Inpatient benefits for room charges, intensive care unit, coronary care unit, and neonatal care unit, hospital charges for miscellaneous medical services and supplies (while hospital confined), surgery, surgeon and assistant surgeon fees, second surgical opinion, anesthesia administration, daily doctor visit (while hospital confined), pathology, radiology, and physiotherapy.
• Post confinement benefits for convalescent care facility/skilled nursing facility (must begin within 14 days following hospital confinement and limited to 14 days at half of the daily hospital rate) and home health care provided by a home health care agency up to 170 hours per injury.
• Supplemental death benefit automatically included if a covered person dies with 100 days of the injury up to a maximum of $50,000 minus benefits paid since the inception of the plan. Additional accidental death and dismemberment coverage available as a rider.
• No network restrictions for service providers
• No pre-existing conditions provision
• No inpatient deductible
• No coinsurance on inpatient confinement
• No medical underwriting; however, we will underwrite avocations, occupation and other issues that have a high potential for contributing to injuries
• No stop-loss amount
• No pre-certification requirement
• No need to use preferred providers to obtain benefits
